Asset / Asset

What you send or receive; such as BTC, ETH, USDT, or USDC. The asset name together with the network specifies a more complete selection.

Example: USDT and USDC are two different assets, even when both are on Ethereum.

Network

The transfer submission platform, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, or XRP Ledger. A token name alone does not determine its transfer network.

Example: To receive USDT on Tron, both the order and the destination's receive page must show Tron.

Receiving address / Receiving address

The address the destination announces for receiving the asset on the specified network. The receive address for the conversion result differs from the deposit address for starting the order.

Contract address

The token contract address on the network; used to identify the token and is not the customer's receiving address.

Example: You must not enter the official USDC contract instead of the USDC receive address of your wallet.

Quote, receipt amount, and cost

Rate quote / Quote

An estimate or conditional conversion commitment for a specified amount, pair, network, and time. Read whether it is fixed or variable and its validity in that same offer.

Net amount received / Net amount

The destination amount after applying the costs included in the quote. It must be read together with the terms of that same order; a difference between the initial estimate and the final payment is not by itself proof of a fee.

Gas / Gas

The unit of measurement for computational work on Ethereum. Its cost depends on the Gas consumed and the price per unit, and it is paid on the network with ETH.

Example: For a normal send of USDT ERC-20 from the wallet, in addition to Tether, you need ETH for the network fee.

Service fee

The conversion service fee is separate from the network transfer fee. In SarrafHub, the 0.38% rate relates to an order with a source that has a set receiving address and an input value greater than 1,000 euros; for other orders, the fee of the same quote applies.

Transfer ID and confirmation

Order ID

Conversion request ID in SarrafHub. It is used to track the order and its steps; it is not the same as the blockchain hash.

Transaction hash / TxID

The identifier of a transaction on the relevant network. Having the hash alone does not prove a successful result; the status, amount, asset, and destination must also be checked.

Example: Your BTC deposit hash and the USDT payment hash to the destination are two references for two different transfers.

Confirmation / Confirmation or confirm

In Bitcoin, as a transaction is included in a block and subsequent blocks are added, confirmations increase. The time of each confirmation is not definite, and the receiving service determines the required number.

Finality

A network result reaching final status according to that network's mechanism. In Ethereum, being included in a block differs from becoming final. In XRP Ledger, the transaction result must be checked in the validated ledger; finality can also include an unsuccessful result.

Do not conflate network stages with service stages. An incoming deposit may be confirmed, but the conversion or outgoing payment may not yet be finished. No fixed number for the confirmation count or completion time of all networks is set in this glossary.

Additional information and deposit time

Tag destination / Destination Tag

Numeric information accompanying the payment in XRP Ledger that some destinations request to identify the customer's account. Get Tag from that same destination; the order ID is not a substitute for it.

Memo / Memo

Information accompanying the transaction with a format that depends on the network and service. In XRP Ledger, the Memos field is separate from the Destination Tag; do not automatically swap them.

Deposit deadline

The set window for deposit according to the order terms. It is not the same as the quote validity or the destination payment completion time. The route deadline is subject to the 1,000 euro 60 minute threshold; read the terms of the same deposit order.

What use do these terms have for Persian search?

In searches such as "Bitcoin conversion in Iran" or "Tether transaction tracking", knowing the network and the ID helps you state your issue more precisely. But this glossary does not conclude anything about whether a service is permitted or available for you. Placing an order from Iran is not enabled in the current version of SarrafHub; read the access status in the dedicated guide.

Frequently asked questions

Do Confirmation and confirmation mean the same thing?

In discussions about a transaction, "Confirmation" usually means the same as Confirmation. The practical meaning and the required number depend on the network and the service; do not confuse it with form confirmation or the end of a conversion.

Is the Tether name alone enough to track USDT?

No. The transfer network and the hash on that same network are also needed. If the transfer relates to a SarrafHub order, keep that order ID as well.

Is the contract address the same as my wallet address?

No. The token contract address and the customer receiving address serve different purposes. Get the order destination from the receive page and the correct network in your wallet.
